The NEFL alignment
During the league meeting yesterday the NEFL accepted 2 new teams into the league. The Menominee Thunderhawks and the River City Rough Riders are the newest members of the NEFL. Welcome! The league also realigned the conferences. Here is how the alignment will be for the 2011 season and hopefully beyond!
American Elite Conference
Eastern Division – Fox Valley Force, Green Bay Gladiators, Kimberly Storm
Central Division – Chippewa Valley Predators, Eau Claire Crush, Central Wisconsin Spartans
National Elite Conference
Northern Division – Minnesota Dragons, Twin Ports Stampede, St. Paul Pioneers
Southern Division – River City Rough Riders, Menominee Thunderhawks, Rochester Giants
It should be interesting.
Game breakdowns : Each team will have a home/home series with each team in their division. One home game versus another Conference opponent and an away game versus a conference opponent. The last set of games to round out the schedule will be a home game against a non conference opponent, and an away game versus a non conference opponent.
It makes sense. Now to see how the travel will shake out.
